Long story short I have no history of the quads previous runnability, but I did rebuild the carburetor with a kit. I have no previous experience with carburetors, so this is a learning curve. First crank the quad started immediately.

There is an adjustment that can be made to regulate the amount of injected oil. When I bought my 2000 Xplorer 400, I had the dealer adjust it so it gets a little more oil than is called for in the service manual.
