Aug 26, 2019 · The Winchester 9422. I'm pleased to see a resurgence of threads on the model 9422. I have a real love for rimfire lever guns and have to say that the 9422 is easily my favorite. The Marlin 39 series is a fine rifle, and in some respects possibly better than the 9422, but overall I will pick up the Winchester over the Marlin almost every time.
