The actual train street was closed off from people walking onto the tracks by the traffic guards, but you can still go to a cafe and watch the train. We opted to watch the train from the road and then eat at the parallel street just behind, which was less crowded. The locals can be pushy to try to get you into their cafe, so be aware.
