Ram 2500 stuck in 4th gear

Dec 19, 2021 · Limped it home in 4th gear. Googled the problem, and found this thread. Went out and turned the key, started and it was not stuck in 4th anymore. Drove around the block and everything seems OK. Thanks again everyone.

Easy to fix, just take the top of the trans off from inside the cab and check it out, easy to see if it's trying to go into two gears at the same time. Big screwdriver will pry it right. IIRC if it was reflashed to factory and was in limp mode, tuning with some tuners might not take it out of limp mode.
