To make a short story long. We bought a 2014 duramax with blown motor, with egr def delete. We bought a motor I was told it was a lml. Ended up being a lgh, out of a cab chassis 2013, everything matched up other then one egr plug. If there is air in it and you can't prime it with the pump on the housing, you can either rebuild or replace the housing. Loosen the bleeder valve, pump the pump. It's easier if you pull off some of the intake tubing. If you don't ever start pumping fuel the pump/housing is probably sucking air., Pull each injector return line one at a time and crank. It will make the CP3 work at 100%, and create 100% rail pressure. It will lope hard if it starts, But it's an idea. Or you can try to pressurize the tank with about 10psi and try starting the truck. If the CMP Sensor signal is lost while the engine is running, the engine will operate normally. If the CMP Sensor signal is not present at start-up, the engine will not start. DTC P0340 will set if there is no signal from the CMP.
