I did not remove the large c-clip that relates the timing, as I understand it. Basically the front seal, head o-ring, miscellaneous o-rings and gasket on the top cover etc..Take an old spark plug and open the gap to 1/4". Then hook it to a spark plug wire to it and ground the plug body to the engine. Turn the engine over and look at your spark.
