There is another firing order 15426378 which was for the earlier 221-302 small blocks, 351-400s all the 332-428 and all 429-460s. It is possible to swap the camshaft in the 351 from a earlier 221-302 which would change the 351’s order to the earlier one. I ran into this situation many years ago with a 302 that had been rebuilt., The HO 302 and 351w have a better fireing order. The early 302, 289 fireing order has 1 and 3 go right after each other. this loads the front main. So when you get a new cam, just order one for a 351w.
